Due to the recent typhoon and heavy rain, we regret to inform you that the trails along the race route have been damaged. While the authorities are currently working on repairs, certain sections of the route are still blocked.

Considering the circumstances, we have had to make some necessary changes to the race route. Here are the latest arrangements for the races:

Join the 5th Fearless Dragon Charity Trail Run!

This year, there are three routes to choose from, including 32 kilometers, 16 kilometers, and 5 kilometers. Whether you enjoy hiking, running or walking with your pet, you’ll experience the great satisfaction that comes with sweating it out in the beautiful surroundings of the reservoir and mountains. You can also contribute to the promotion of coexistence between people with and without disabilities.

For the first time in Hong Kong, there is a special group for people with disabilities, encouraging them to participate and welcoming pets to walk together, paving the way for “equal contribution and coexistence between people with and without disabilities.”

All registration fees will be used to support projects and services of the Hong Kong Network for the
Promotion of Inclusive Society, helping people with disabilities rewrite their life paths.

Personal insurance

The organizer has purchased public liability insurance, but it does not cover the personal accident insurance of the participants. We recommend participants to purchase personal accident insurance

Physical condition

If you have the following diseases, it is recommended not to participate in the competition, and all participants must bear the risks they face. Luggage Storage:

Each participant can deposit a luggage bag and retrieve it at the finish line. The organizer will provide a luggage tag instead of a luggage storage bag; if any luggage is lost or damaged, the organizer will not Be responsible; it is recommended to carry valuables with you.

Suggested transportation:

Start/end point – Main Dam of Shing Mun Reservoir:

Minibus No. 82, get off at Shing Mun Reservoir Pineapple Dam and walk for about 20 minutes; or

Bus 32, 36, 40X, 46X, 47X, 48X, 73X, 278X get off at Ho Fung College and walk for about 30 minutes.

For drivers, it is recommended to park in Tsuen Wan and take a minibus to the destination.

Race Cancellation Guidelines:

The organizer reserves the right to cancel or shorten the event for the following reasons: Weather: Severe weather conditions, such as typhoons, heavy rains, etc. Disasters: Landslips, large rockfalls, and wildfires on the race route Other accidents: Protest demonstrations or route closures Force majeure, that is, events beyond the control of the organizers and circumstances that make it impossible, unsafe or impractical to hold the competition. Force majeure events include, but are not limited to, acts of God, war, hostilities, aggression, rebellion, revolution, insurrection, riot, commotion, strike or commotion, blockage or impassability of roads or trails, outbreaks of disease and acts and threats of terrorism. No Refunds: If the event is canceled due to the above reasons, there will be no refunds and no rematch.

Human and Pet Coexistence The team must consist of at least one person and one pet, and bring up to four pets

Inter-School Quartet Consists of one teacher and three students aged 12 or above studying in Hong Kong full-time secondary schools OR Four students aged 12 or above studying in Hong Kong full-time secondary schools

*Participants in the individual and human and pet coexistence group of Route 3 must be 15 years old or above (age calculated as of November 5, 2023).
*Participants in the parent-child group of Route 3 must be children aged 6 to 12 (age calculated as of November 5, 2023).

    Please bring your own reusable container: To support environmental protection and avoid polluting the environment, paper cups or disposable containers will not be provided along the way. Remember to bring your own water bottle or container, such as a reusable cup, bottle, or hydration bag. Please take a sufficient amount of drinks and avoid taking too much to avoid waste.

    Carry your own trash: Don’t forget to bring energy bars, gels, bananas, and electrolytes to keep you energized on the course, but please be a responsible participant and carry your own trash.

    Leung Ying Suet – a famous long-distance runner from Hong Kong

    Represented Hong Kong in the World Mountain and Trail Running Championships in 2018, 2019, and 2022.

    Track and road races:
    Most Outstanding Female Athlete by the Hong Kong, China Association of Athletics Affiliates in 2005, 2006, and 2007.
    Member of the Hong Kong Hong Kong Athletics Team in 2005, 2006, and 2007.

    Personal best records:
    Half Marathon: 1 hour 23 minutes
    Marathon: 2 hours 58 minutes.



    Chan Ka Ho – a famous middle-distance runner from Hong Kong and a coach for the Dragon Runners

    Chan Ka Ho is a famous middle-distance runner from Hong Kong. He has broken five Hong Kong race records during his running career. Ka Ho is passionate about running and was a member of the Hong Kong Athletics team from 2005 to 2014, representing Hong Kong in international long-distance running events. He is currently a running coach for several public organizations and non-profit groups, including Fearless Dragon Running Team. His philosophy on running and coaching is to ‘dare to try’ and ‘never give up’!

    Yiu Kit Ching – a famous runner from Hong Kong.

    Yiu Kit Ching is a middle-to-long distance runner from Hong Kong. She represented Hong Kong at the 2016 Rio Olympics and holds the records for the women’s half marathon, 10km, and 15km marathons in Hong Kong. She is currently a member of the Hong Kong Athletics team and has represented Hong Kong in various international competitions. She actively participates in sports charity events and serves as a running coach for organizations to promote sports and health.

    Wong Chun Kiu

    Wong Chun Kiu holds multiple roles as an ultramarathon runner, coach, explorer, writer, and philanthropist. He believes that “humans have unlimited potential” and has launched the Global Run Project, running through Hawaii, Taiwan, Japan, and the United States. Through the #StrongerTogether concept, he aims to bring out the idea that “by challenging oneself, helping others, we can make the world a better place.



    Tai Mo Shan – Connie Kong

    Lin has been running the Tai Mo Shan Kiosk for 25 years, and is famous among hikers and runners. She is also an avid trail runner and participated in the 2017 Totem Run and The North Face 100 Thailand 2018 15km, where she placed third in the category.

    Race Information

    Race Rules

    Safety of other trail users: Participants must give priority to the safety of other trail and road users, and must be courteous and avoid intentional pushing or collisions. Safety should always come first.

    Cups/water bottles: Disposable cups will not be provided, so participants must bring their own environmental-friendly cups or water bottles to enjoy drinks along the course.

    Race bibs: Race bibs must be worn on the front of the body and cannot be placed on the back. Race bibs must be kept intact and cannot be cut or altered.

    Start time: Any participant who arrives late will not be allowed to start the race 15 minutes after the official start time and will be considered as DNS (Did Not Start).

    Cut-off time: Participants must reach the start, checkpoints, and finish line before the cut-off time; otherwise, they will be disqualified.

    Team competition: To encourage teamwork, all team participants must start, reach checkpoints, and finish the race together; otherwise, they will be disqualified. The time will be based on the last team member who crosses the finish line.

    Appeal: All protests must be made within 30 minutes after the race and a fee of $100 must be paid.

    Change of registration information: Any changes to the registration information require a handling fee  of $200 per change.

    Overtaking: When overtaking a runner in front of you, please politely signal and tell them that you will pass on their left or right.

    Final decision: The Race Director has the final decision-making authority regarding all aspects of the race.

    Registration: The organizer reserves the right to accept or reject any participant. Once registered, registration fees and donations will not be refunded.

    Disqualification: Participants will be immediately disqualified for the following: (1) refusing to stop the race when the time limit is up; (2) refusing to comply with race rules and instructions; (3) littering; (4) disrespecting other participants, organizers, or volunteers; (5) deviating from the designated race route or taking shortcuts; (6) pacers are strictly prohibited in this race, and support personnel must provide assistance within 50 meters of the checkpoints (including providing drinks, food, and other support); support personnel are strictly prohibited from providing any assistance to participants on the racecourse, such as providing drinks or food.
